WhatsApp conversations are messages exchanged between businesses and users within a 24-hour window initiated by the business. During this period, businesses and users can send any number of messages, including template messages, without additional charges.
The charges for conversations vary based on the category of the template message and depend on the recipient’s country. For Indian numbers, the costs are as follows:
1. Marketing Conversation: ₹0.72
2. Authentication Conversation: ₹.0.30
3. Utility Conversation: ₹.0.30
4. Service Conversation: Pricing not specified
These prices are applicable for sending conversations within India and are exclusive of GST. The 24-hour conversation session starts when a business messages a user.
Additionally, businesses get 1000 free conversations per month for user-initiated conversations, and the application for a green tick is free of charge. All mentioned prices are valid only within the 24-hour period.

2. Replying to users with a template message or sending one in an open service conversation creates a new conversation based on the template category.
3. Charges are applied separately for each category’s conversation window initiated, even if a conversation involves multiple categories like Marketing, Authentication, Utility, or Service.
4. Each message category (Marketing, Authentication, Utility, or Service) incurs its own charges.
5. Sending messages from different categories to the same user within a 24-hour window results in separate charges for each category.
6. Initiating a conversation in a specific category provides a 24-hour window for communication without additional charges, allowing effective interaction with customers.
